Content Policy

Last updated: March 19, 2026

Vidol is a platform for live interactive events. To ensure a safe and positive experience for all users, we enforce the following content guidelines.

Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited on Vidol:

  • Illegal content: anything that violates applicable law, including but not limited to content depicting illegal activities
  • Child safety: any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors (CSAM). This is reported to law enforcement immediately.
  • Hate speech: content that attacks, demeans, or incites violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Harassment: targeted abuse, threats, intimidation, doxxing, or coordinated campaigns against individuals
  • Violence: graphic violence, threats of violence, or glorification of violent acts
  • Fraud and scams: misleading event descriptions, bait-and-switch pricing, impersonation, or phishing
  • Spam: unsolicited promotional content, repetitive messages, or commercial solicitation in chat
  • Self-harm: content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide
  • Intellectual property: unauthorized use of copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary content

Host Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and honest event descriptions, pricing, and scheduling
  • Show up on time and deliver the promised content
  • Moderate chat in their events or appoint trusted moderators
  • Not engage in bait-and-switch tactics (advertising one type of event and delivering another)
  • Respect participants and address concerns professionally

Participant Responsibilities

  • Treat hosts and other participants with respect
  • Do not record or redistribute event content without the host's explicit permission
  • Do not share personal information of other participants (doxxing)
  • Follow host and moderator instructions during events

Moderation

Vidol uses a combination of automated (AI-powered) and human moderation to enforce these guidelines:

  • Chat messages are filtered by keyword blocklists and AI classification
  • Hosts and moderators can delete messages, mute users, and ban participants from events
  • Reports are reviewed by the Vidol admin team

Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in the following actions, depending on severity:

  • Warning: notification sent for first minor offense
  • Temporary mute: 1 hour to 7 days, cannot send chat messages
  • Temporary suspension: 1 to 30 days, cannot access the platform
  • Permanent ban: account disabled, email blocked from re-registration
  • Host demotion: loss of hosting privileges, events cancelled, payouts held pending review

Appeals

If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you may submit one appeal within 30 days by contacting appeals@vidol.com. Include your account email and the reason you believe the action was incorrect.

Reporting

To report a violation, use the "Report" button on user profiles, event pages, or chat messages. All reports are reviewed by our team.
