Vidol is a platform for live interactive events. To ensure a safe and positive experience for all users, we enforce the following content guidelines.
Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited on Vidol:
- Illegal content: anything that violates applicable law, including but not limited to content depicting illegal activities
- Child safety: any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors (CSAM). This is reported to law enforcement immediately.
- Hate speech: content that attacks, demeans, or incites violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Harassment: targeted abuse, threats, intimidation, doxxing, or coordinated campaigns against individuals
- Violence: graphic violence, threats of violence, or glorification of violent acts
- Fraud and scams: misleading event descriptions, bait-and-switch pricing, impersonation, or phishing
- Spam: unsolicited promotional content, repetitive messages, or commercial solicitation in chat
- Self-harm: content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide
- Intellectual property: unauthorized use of copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary content
Host Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and honest event descriptions, pricing, and scheduling
- Show up on time and deliver the promised content
- Moderate chat in their events or appoint trusted moderators
- Not engage in bait-and-switch tactics (advertising one type of event and delivering another)
- Respect participants and address concerns professionally
Participant Responsibilities
- Treat hosts and other participants with respect
- Do not record or redistribute event content without the host's explicit permission
- Do not share personal information of other participants (doxxing)
- Follow host and moderator instructions during events
Moderation
Vidol uses a combination of automated (AI-powered) and human moderation to enforce these guidelines:
- Chat messages are filtered by keyword blocklists and AI classification
- Hosts and moderators can delete messages, mute users, and ban participants from events
- Reports are reviewed by the Vidol admin team
Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in the following actions, depending on severity:
- Warning: notification sent for first minor offense
- Temporary mute: 1 hour to 7 days, cannot send chat messages
- Temporary suspension: 1 to 30 days, cannot access the platform
- Permanent ban: account disabled, email blocked from re-registration
- Host demotion: loss of hosting privileges, events cancelled, payouts held pending review
Appeals
If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you may submit one appeal within 30 days by contacting appeals@vidol.com. Include your account email and the reason you believe the action was incorrect.
Reporting
To report a violation, use the "Report" button on user profiles, event pages, or chat messages. All reports are reviewed by our team.
